When I try to signup, I get the error message "[security image expired]", and when I returned to the form and tried to submit it again, I get the same message.

The signup form uses a captcha to insure that the information entered into the form was submitted by a human. If the submitted form does not contain the required information, or the information entered looks suspicious, you will be sent back to the form. Unfortunately, browsers by default are configured to cache images and pages because it is quicker for the browser to show pages and images from the cache than it is to send a new request to the server.

If you are getting the "[security image expired]" message, try right mouse clicking on the form and selecting refresh. You should see the captcha image change on every refresh of your browser. If you are not seeing the captcha refresh, then your browser is caching the image (which has expired because it was already used). Here are some possible solutions that are listed in order of preference:

1. Make sure you are entering the code in uppercase as shown. All captcha codes are uppercase by design to be simplier to use and to read.

2. Right click on the form and select "Refresh" multiple times to insure that the captcha image is displaying something different each time.

3. Clear out your cache. You can do this in Internet Explorer by selecting "Tools->Internet Options->Browsing History->Delete->Temporary Internet Files.

4. Set your browser preferences so that images are not cached. You can do this in Internet Explorer by selecting "Tools->Internet Options->Browsing History->Settings->Everytime I visit the web page.

5. Shut down your browser and starting it up again (which usually clears your cache) if you absolutely can not get the captcha to work

How old do I need to be to sign up with a Poker Room?

This depends on the country in which you live. Please check your local regulations before registering for a poker account.

Can I get Rakeback from a site I have already signed up with (pre-existing account)?

Is there a minimum monthly payment from RakeGuard?

No, but some poker sites have a minimum transfer amount. For example, Full Tilt Poker will only let us make transfers of $5.00.

Does it matter which type of game I play?

No, you can play any of the games, Omaha, No Limit, Limit Hold 'em etc.

Does Tournament play count towards Rakeback?

Yes. Any game where the poker room charges a fee for play (rake), qualifies for rakeback. This includes Sit and Goes, Multi-table tournaments, etc.

Why is my FTP account balance lower than expected or negative?

Full Tilt Poker charges rakeback accounts for the following things:

Bonus
Deposit transaction fees (you should not withdraw and re-deposit unnecessarily). These range from 3% upwards.
Items bought in the FT store using FT points are deducted at $0.005 per point from your Rake (and $0.00135 from your rakeback).
Any tournaments you enter where there is a guaranteed prize and there is a shortfall in players. The amount deducted from your rake is equal to the amount of the overlay divided by the number of entrants.
